Depression at epidemic levels

Depression at epidemic levels

Mental illness is an epidemic in America. The number of people diagnosed with major depressive disorder seems to be increasing more rapidly every year. With the increased diagnoses also comes an ultimate increase in people who suffer from drug withdrawals after trying to stop using antidepressants (Mad in America).

As science and technology continues to advance and improve, people continue to be down and depressed. One would think that with all the modern conveniences and luxuries, moods would get better and people would be happier. Unfortunately, pharmaceutical science and medicine make the situation worse, so we should look to nature for a solution.

There are many natural remedies that have been used for thousands of years and are only recently being accepted and studied by doctors. For instance, turmeric has been known to improve brain health and alleviate depression in many cultures for centuries. Science recently discovered that the beneficial compound in turmeric is curcumin.

Are you concerned about the potential side-effects of antidepressant drugs? Have you tried a natural alternative like curcumin?

The Journal of Affective Disorders just released this paper about the antidepressant effects of curcumin in people suffering from major depressive disorder.

The science is real and people are starting to realize they don’t need drugs to improve their Mood, Mind, and Memory!
