Enhancing Life in the New Millennium
Celebrating the Future

e want to celebrate the discoveries of biomedical science for 1999. We want to celebrate who we are, what we've done, and what we will continue to contribute to you, the individual . . . and to our community and our planet, right now and in the new millennium. We at Life Enhancement dedicate our time, energy, and scientific integrity to the extension and enhancement of life on all levels: physical, mental, and spiritual. We are committed to the discovery of natural, safe, and intelligently thought-out ways to slow the aging process, prevent and reverse the degenerative diseases of aging, and maintain and improve mental and emotional capacities and health. We are passionate about what we do, and we strive to make human life and the world richer for our efforts. We will continue to ask, how can we feel and think at higher levels? How can we achieve higher states of being? We are confident that the answers are coming at an exponential rate in the new millennium. We will be ready. Will you?

Nineteen ninety-nine was a very good year for the biomedical sciences in terms of discoveries in life extension. Not surprisingly, some of the most heralded advances in the world of conventional medicine last year had direct applications to nutritional science. It was another consecutive year when we at Life Enhancement were clearly in the driver's seat, with a vision of the road ahead. We were among the earliest to see the implications of biomedicine's ground-breaking news, and we were often first to implement practical applications of these breakthroughs, making available scientifically based, life-enhancing supplements to our readers.

Just as in previous years, 1999 found us ready to leap out in front again. One of the biggest scientific breakthrough stories of the year was the creation of superintelligent mice through genetic engineering. Having long thought about many of the underlying issues, we found that this research helped consolidate our insight regarding one of last year's most significant product developments. The effects are likely to be complementary to genetic enhancement and could yield across-the-board memory improvement, combined with far wider-ranging benefits than we ever realized before.

From new studies that in all likelihood strongly imply prosexual benefits for women over the age of 30 came the development of a scientifically warranted nutritional supplement specifically for women.

These nutrients, among the others written about in this issue, are just a few examples of our committed efforts to bring you the most up-to-date scientific information and the most innovative and progressive supplements available to you at the turn of the millennium. In these ways we have led the field and can claim to be the premier information and manufacturing life-extension company in the world. Our unrelenting research efforts and dedication to the extension and enhancement of life will continure to set the pace for what is yet to come in the year 2000 and beyond.
