Swine Flu Scare—What Can Be Done

Q Just as we anticipated the ending of this year’s flu season here in the Northern Hemisphere, along comes a new one, the so-called swine flu. While to date, it doesn’t seem to be as malicious as the 1918 flu, which I understand killed more people than the Black Plague, it seems to have taken another turn. As of late May, this flu is spreading and mutating as it circles the planet. Which nutrients are especially valuable to improve immunity and defend oneself, especially if this thing gets totally out of control next fall?

A The short answer to this question is the bioflavonoid quercetin, vitamin C and D, the stilbene resveratrol, green tea extract (50% EGCG), and N-acetylcysteine, all of course in the right amounts and right ratios, and used according to an appropriate serving schedule.
