Turmeric Improves Working Memory

Enhanced working memory is not a common benefit of nutritional supplementation, but new research indicates that turmeric can do just that. Working memory is the cerebral system that is responsible for the temporary holding and processing of new and recently stored information. Without efficient functioning, there is a major disruption of reasoning, comprehension, learning, and memory updating.

In the new study, a relatively small amount of turmeric given with breakfast increased working memory for the next 6 hours in older people with pre-diabetes.
